This video explores EgoCyberosis—a state where the line between the real and the virtual begins to blur. Inspired by Freudian ego theory and the idea of cyberpsychosis from Cyberpunk 2077, it asks what happens when our senses are overwhelmed by digital input.

A rotting apple becomes the anchor. Filmed through time-lapse and reimagined using AI-generated transformation, the fruit shifts between states—organic, decayed, restructured—mirroring our unstable perception. Simple gestures like eating are reversed and distorted, while handheld-style shots and flickering light suggest a fractured sense of space and self.

It’s about now—where daily experiences already feel disconnected, recursive, and strangely artificial. Somewhere in that loop, we’re still trying to feel what’s real.

HookieX is a custom typeface I designed as a visual extension of EgoCyberosis. It blends organic curves with digital distortion to reflect the film’s core themes—identity fragmentation, glitch, and sensory overload. Each letter was shaped to feel slightly unstable, echoing the perception shifts explored in the video.
