Starting with “input” as a conceptual entry point, I explored a range of modern web interaction functionalities. Through this process, I examined everyday technical glitches and malfunctions, which deepened my thinking. I then embedded various interaction logics into a retro-style image search website.

Photodump is an interactive web-based experience that explores the psychological responses humans undergo when encountering technological failure. By designing a photo-search platform intentionally embedded with hidden glitches, this project reveals how unpredictable interactions—such as broken inputs, unexpected outputs, or UI disruptions—can provoke frustration, curiosity, or even delight.
By introducing intentional system failures, this project highlights how glitches can prompt reflection, frustration, or surprise—exposing the complex ways we depend on and interact with technology.
